Christmas Evening Dining Trains

Enjoy a seasonal four course Christmas evening meal on board the South Devon Limited. Passengers are greeted with Canapes and Prosecco on the Platform at Buckfastleigh whilist a brass band will be playing traditional christmas carols. The train will start boarding at 19.15 and passengers will be served with their Starters, Mains and Dessert whilist the brass band continues playing softly in the background the train will make it's way to Totnes. Menu options are taken on the day at the table. Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options are available. Vegan main option must be pre-booked at the time of booking.

Coffee and mince pies will be served after the meal. A bar service is available on board providing a selection of wines, local beers, ciders and soft drinks.

~ Canapes and Prosecco on arrival on the Platform

 Starters

Tian of Local Crab, Crayfish and avocado dressed with lambs lettuce, lemon, olive oil and salmon caviar.

Galette of Roasted Beetroot, all butter puff pastry, topped with melted Sharpham Brie and Orchard apple. -V

Scrumpy cider and onion soup, cheese crouton. -V

Main

Roast Buttered Turkey, butchers sausage and bacon, sage and onion stuffing

Seafresh Monkfish and scallops, chorizo, Kale and saffron.

~ Mushroom, chestnut and spinach tower glazed with spiced cranberries. – V (Must be pre-booked when booking is made)

All served with seasonal vegetables.

Dessert

Christmas trio...cinnamon and orange cream crunch, Figgie pudding, rhubarb and ginger ‘ice’

~  Devon Cheeseboard, figs, chutney and crackers.

 

~  Coffee and mini mince pies.
